Biography

I began my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta in 1993, and when I moved to Australia and discovered the warmer weather and longer summers, I decided to complete my Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia in 2000.

I have worked as a physiotherapist with a variety of recreational athletes including the Queensland State Inline hockey team in 2002 and the Australian Inline National Hockey team at the World Inline Championship in London, Ontario (2004).  I also have experience working with professional athletes when I worked in Cairns, Australia when I worked in a private clinic that served the Cairns Taipans who are a professional basketball team (NBL) in Queensland, Australia.

I have also enjoyed working in a wide variety of settings, including working in hand therapy, pre and post-operative surgical patients, motor vehicle accidents, orthopedic outpatients and pediatric outpatients.  I have completed the Certificate in Manual Therapy (COMT), as well as completed Levels 1a,1b in anatomical and clinical Acupuncture which I use as a western medicine approach. I have also completed the upper and lower limb Dry Needling courses to give me a good clinical foundation to help my patients in a wide variety of injuries.
