Kim GibasPhysiotherapist

Biography

I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Performance and Physical Activity, followed by completing her Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2010. I’m trained in Functional and Biomedical Dry Needling, Kinesio Taping, am a certified FMS (Functional Movement Screen) Professional and Running Specialist through the Running Clinic.

I have a background as a personal trainer and fitness instructor and have spent over 10 years working in the sport and fitness industry with a variety of individuals, groups, and sport teams. I’m also a very active person, leading group fitness classes and enjoying outdoor cycling and running. My other interests include weight training and hot yoga.

My goal with treatment is to teach patients about their bodies, how and why injuries occur, and how they themselves can be an active participant in their recovery and prevent future injuries.

I’m currently away on maternity leave with my 3 lovely babes but look forward to returning to the clinic sometime in the future.
