KneeHab

Therapy Should Begin Before An Injury Happens

ACL Injury Prevention

The KneeHab Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Injury Prevention Program is designed to help prevent injuries and at the same time, improve overall performance.  The program works on speed, agility and body awareness.  While beneficial for all athletes, it is intended for females because of their susceptibility to ACL injuries.

Did you know?

  • Females are 4-6x more likely to tear their ACL than males

  • ACL tears occur in 1 out of 50 high school female athletes, and 1 out of 10 female college athletes

  • The higher the level of competition, the greater the risk of ACL tears

  • Research shows that there can be up to a 70% reduction in ACL injuries by doing specific exercises and increasing body awareness

What is KneeHab?

Our KneeHab program is based on work done by sports medicine specialists in Central Oregon.  It has been tested on virtually every type of sport and resulted in a non profit foundation to address the growing problem of ACL injuries in women.

Our KneeHab therapist will:

  • Assess your knees and how you move during exercise

  • Design a program to improve core strength, agility and body awareness

  • Recommend how to coordinate program into your regular training schedule

Team KneeHab

A 20 minute training program for all sports teams.

If you are a coach, you may already do the same or similar exercises with you athletes.  On paper, the exercises look basic. The challenge is executing them properly and knowing how to correct your athletes.  It's not just about strengthening, but teaching the body to avoid positions susceptible to injury.

Avoiding injury can be learned.
