Foot Orthotics
Good health starts from the ground up, with your feet. Misaligned foot and ankle structures are the source of all kinds of problems from sore knees and aching hips and backs to balance issues. Problems that custom foot orthotics can often solve.
Rob Bouma offers two main types of custom foot orthotics. One is a hand-crafted foot orthotic made from a plaster cast of the patients foot.
The other more common type is created using the Amfit system. A three-dimensional digital cast of the patient’s foot is taken using the Amfit Digitizer. Modifications to the foot model are done on the computer, allowing for flexibility in creating a solution that specifically addresses the unique needs of each patient.
